A system thatconnects every decision

Civaxis brings together the data, technology and tools needed to manage urban maintenance from a single platform.

SolutionMunicipal management

To manage a town, you first have to know it

Urban maintenance means managing kilometres of streets, pavements and other elements that change all the time.

Civaxis connects the territory’s data to move from reactive management to evidence-based planning, producing a reliable, up-to-date inventory.

Acting once the problem already exists

Defects are found late, when they already cause issues, complaints or urgent repairs.

Prioritising without the full picture

Without comparable information it is hard to decide where to invest and to justify each intervention, which ends up causing problems.

Assessing in fragments

Identifying barriers and planning improvements requires knowing the real condition of the network you are working on.

Starting from scratch on every project

When information is not centralised, work is duplicated and continuity is lost between assessment, planning and delivery.

Software shouldn’t arrive empty,it should arrive with the data

Civaxis

  • Data capture included in the subscription
  • Inventory updated every two years
  • All the data on one platform
  • Decisions based on actual condition
  • From inventory to construction project
  • Data connected across platforms

Traditional tools

  • Data you have to collect yourself
  • Inventories that go out of date
  • Information scattered across systems
  • Decisions without a full view of the territory
  • Projects that start from scratch
  • Data with no practical use

Open architecture

PostgreSQL and PostGISA solid foundation for your geographic data

Civaxis uses PostgreSQL/PostGIS to store and structure the town’s geographic information. This technology manages spatial data with standard tools and keeps the inventory from depending on a proprietary format exclusive to the platform.

Georeferenced information thus becomes a reusable foundation for querying, analysis and integration with other systems, depending on the formats and exchange mechanisms available.

Standard geographic structure

Data organised on technologies widely used in the geospatial field.

Data export

Municipal data can be extracted for use in other environments.

Technological continuity

An information base that can remain part of the town’s digital strategy.

Less lock-in

Data ownership and portability are not limited to the Civaxis interface.

Connected data

Civaxis connects the data with the tools and processes that let you analyse it, manage it and turn it into interventions.

GIS · QGIS

Geographic visualisation

Querying and analysing georeferenced information.

PostgreSQL · PostGIS

Open data

Structured, reusable spatial information.

Power BI

Analysis and decisions

Turns data into information for prioritising interventions.

GMAO

Municipal management

Connects information with maintenance and management processes.

A single workspace

Civaxis brings together the main tools to query, interpret and manage the condition of the town. The viewer lets you explore the territory; dashboards help you understand it; the assistant makes information easy to reach; and the management tools connect the assessment with day-to-day work.

  1. See assets on the map, explore every section of the network and find its condition and features.

  2. Turn the inventory into metrics, comparisons and dashboards that make decisions easier.

  3. Ask questions in plain language and get answers from the data available on the platform.

  4. Organise interventions and connect the needs you find with maintenance management.

  5. Turn inventory information into technical documentation for construction projects, depending on the plan.

  6. Record the checks and updates made on assets to keep operational information current.

An inventory that evolves

Infrastructure changes, pavements wear and interventions alter the condition of assets. That is why the value of Civaxis lies not only in a first picture of the territory but in keeping a useful information base over time. The subscription includes a periodic recapture of the street network every two years, plus field validation and record updates as interventions are managed.

  1. Year 0

    Initial capture and inventory set-up

  2. Year 1

    Field validation and update management

  3. Year 2

    Included recapture and refreshed information

  4. Year 3

Comparing how the network’s condition evolves

FAQ

Everything you need to know about Civaxis

What is Civaxis?

Civaxis is a SaaS platform for end-to-end urban maintenance. It brings together data capture, a georeferenced inventory, visualisation, analytics and management tools to connect knowledge of the territory with municipal decisions and interventions.

Do we have to buy the capture separately?

No. The initial street capture is included in the subscription, as is the periodic recapture the service provides. The fee depends on the service area and the plan.

Do we need every module?

What is included depends on the plan. Essentials includes the viewer, the inventory and Power BI; Premium adds accessibility, AIlice and the CMMS; and Enterprise also adds the construction project generator.

How often is the data updated?

The subscription includes a recapture every two years. Field validation and intervention management also keep the platform’s operational records up to date.

Does Civaxis work for towns of any size?

The price adapts to the service area and the plan. To set the scope and the fee we need to assess the size of the network and each town’s management needs.

How is it different from a regular GIS?

A GIS lets you manage and view geographic information, but the administration usually has to gather and load its own data. Civaxis combines the platform with street capture and delivers the inventory already loaded, ready to query and use.

What information can Civaxis collect?

The platform works with urban asset inventories, pavement condition and materials, and accessibility analysis, depending on the plan and the scope of the project. It covers more than 40 asset families.

Can we keep using our current systems?

Civaxis works on a standard, open geographic database and lets you export the town’s data. The specific integration with other systems and tools has to be defined according to each administration’s formats, services and requirements.

Who owns the data?

The town. The data is stored in a standard, open PostgreSQL/PostGIS database, with no proprietary licences for that engine, and can be exported for use elsewhere.

How can we see the platform in action?

You can try the free Civaxis demo to see the viewer, the indicators, the analytics and the available features, or book a meeting with the Civaxis team to see how they fit your administration’s processes.

The town changes, and so does its data

Civaxis turns the territory into a living information system that helps you decide, act and keep it up to date.
